| Description | The Tuck And Roll Radio Show is telephone calls not meant for anyone specific. It’s a pretty good podcast that features telephone calls made to the Tuck and Roll Hotline, telephone calls made to funeral directors, telephone calls made to animals, and telephone calls generally not made to you. | |

1. T&R Featured Elsewhere http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: Hello podcast listeners. It looks like some people are enjoying what I’m trying to do here. This week the blog phonephun.us wrote a little post encouraging people to call the hotline and indeed I got a few calls soon thereafter, so big thanks to them for that. Can I also just take a second to recognize that my output hasn’t exactly been torrential lately? I know, I know, and I apologize. Things in my day-to-day have gotten a touch hectic lately, but I promise a new episode is in the works. Just hold on. Thanks for listening. |

2. Episode 4: It's All in Your Head http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (audio/mpeg, 11.39Mb) Description: It’s all in your head; in which a young man elaborates on the finer points of potentially being paranoid schizophrenic, with consideration given to the added benefit of also having a very reliable friend. This episode also contains a battle between warring galaxies, and a prisoner from outer space. How exciting. Music in this episode is called As Fast As You Can Happen and is by Junior85 and as always courtesy of the Free Music Archive, thanks to them. Also thanks to Carrie who read the end credits for this episode, and what a damn fine job she did of it. By the way, my offer still stands to read your name during the credits of the next episode if you post a positive review of this podcast on itunes. Think of how wonderful it will be to brag to your friends and coworkers that your name was spoken in this internationally-available podcast. On that note, thanks for listening. |

3. Tuck and Roll Radio now available through iTunes http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: Just a quick heads up that the Tuck and Roll Radio podcast has been allowed to join the exclusive private club that is iTunes. Subscribe by searching “Tuck and Roll Radio” in the iTunes store or by clicking here. Learn how to listen to podcasts on iTunes here. Also just for giggles, if you write a positive review of the podcast in iTunes, I’ll read your username during the podcast credits. Are you seriously going to pass up this opportunity to be internet famous? It would be pretty dumb. |

4. Short 01: Getting Shot, A Beginner's Guide http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (audio/mpeg, 4.76Mb) Description: Getting Shot, A Beginner’s Guide; in which a young man of outstanding repute is hospitalized during a birthday party. This is a short episode, so I’m not writing a longer description than that. Music for this one is Tam8+ei4 by LJ Kruzer from his collection called Tam Variations. Big thanks to him for putting those tracks in the creative commons and on the FMA. In case you missed it on my The Twitter, Vancouver blog Beyond Robson wrote a really nice profile of Tuck and Roll Radio. It’s worth reading if you’re interested in feeling like this a really good podcast. Thanks for listening, now the download link: |

5. Episode 3: I'm Embarrassed About it, Now http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (audio/mpeg, 8.88Mb) Description: I’m Embarrassed About it, Now; in which someone reflects on how easy it is to dislike a past version of their self, and someone else recalls finding their dad’s pornography then watching television innocently. Two stories about us, when we were younger and more embarrassing. Music in the first story is called Drag Along Behind and is by Aboombong. Music in the second half is S.P.Y. by Codex Machine. I found both tracks on the Free Music Archive. Additional thanks to my friend Janelle who read the end credit(s?) for this episode. By the way: hey did you know I have a The Twitter? I don’t post much but maybe I will post more, later. Also I’m planning on adding this podcast to itunes pretty soon, so keep a look out for that. As always I’d like to take some time to encourage my couple of listeners to call in if you’ve got a story worth sharing. Update frequency is directly correlated to the number of calls I receive on the hotline. Thanks for listening. |

6. Episode 2: For the Dead http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (audio/mpeg, 11.76Mb) Description: For the Dead; in which one of the first ever Tuck and Roll Hotline callers (!) remembers getting drunk on mason jars of flower petals, and Emma Walter tries to convince people to let her see their dead bodies. I would call this the first “real” episode of Tuck and Roll. Music in the first half by Junior85 and courtesy of the Free Music Archive, which is a great internet thing. Music in the second half by The Secret Whistle. Big thanks to both. More thanks go to Emma Walter, who sent me the audio for the second half, and graciously allowed me to chop her almost completely out of it. A very huge thank you to the voice on the first half of the podcast. Whoever you are, thank you so much for calling the Hotline. Finally a shout out to the Reddit community, where all of my calls so far have come from. There’s a little bonus for you at the end of the episode. Also news: Tuck and Roll is officially a podcast, you can subscribe with the RSS link in the right column. This whole project is still just getting started. Call the Hotline. Subscribe to the podcast. Tell your friends. |

7. Call the Tuck & Roll Hotline http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: If you want to hear yourself on the Tuck and Roll Radio show I now have a venue for you to do it. I bought a toll free number that anyone in North America (and only North America) can call for free, and leave me a message of up to three minutes in length. I encourage anyone who has a good story, secret, confession, rant, urban legend, job, apology, or song-and-dance routine to call and share it with the internet, completely anonymously. My intention is to edit and use the audio from the calls as the majority of the content for Tuck and Roll, so the more interesting the messages I get, the better the podcast will be. This is a bit of an experiment to see if I can actually piece together interesting content out of the little snippets donated by strangers, like a pair of shoes made from tissue boxes and plastic bags. Help me out with this, would you? The number is 1.877.620.0940. and as I said it’s completely free to call from anywhere in North America. You’ll find the number permanently installed in the column on the right. |

8. Episode 1: From the Dead (Removed) http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: From the Dead; In which people call in to their local radio station in an effort to speak to their dead loved ones through a psychic-medium. Speaking to your dead friends and relatives is as easy as dialing a telephone. Music by The Secret Whistle, who are perfectly great guys and will let you download their album free from their Myspace. This being the first episode of Tuck and Roll Radio, I’m keeping it short. As I continue to collect more sources and more content I hope that the length of the episodes grows. This is basically a test episode. (This one was removed because it doesn’t really fit what I’m trying to do with Tuck and Roll, and there were also some potential copyright issues that I don’t want to worry about. FYI) |
