Description My name is Justin AKA Demonic Sweaters. In 2015 I started a podcast to talk about the stuff I find interesting and to interview interesting people. My friend Chad started helping me as part time co-host in 2016 and we briefly changed the name to The Wrong Way The Stripe goes. Topics talked about are: Music, art, drums, paranormal, conspiracies, UFOs, self-employment, life struggles, money, health, philosophy, or basically anywhere our conversations wonder.

22. Ep 28 - Richard Shaver
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (audio/mpeg, 0.00Mb)

Chad and Justin return after a few month hiatus to talk about Richard Shaver, Twin Peaks, Ray Palmer, Gobekli Tepe, funny stories, and people that claim they have no visual component of their brains.

This was a pretty fun podcast, and one of our best episodes to date!

music on this episode provided by Curb Cobain and deluxepaint 418

Richard Sharpe Shaver (October 8, 1907 Berwick, Pennsylvania – November 5, 1975 Summit, Arkansas) was an American writer and artist.

Shaver's stories continued to appear in Amazing after Howard Browne replaced Ray Palmer as editor.

Even after his work fell out of favor with Amazing readers, Ray Palmer continued to publish Shaver in other genre magazines.

A special issue of Fantastic devoted to the "Shaver Mystery" was published in 1958
He achieved notoriety in the years following World War II as the author of controversial stories that were printed in science fiction magazines (primarily Amazing Stories), in which he claimed that he had had personal experience of a sinister, ancient civilization that harbored fantastic technology in caverns under the earth. The controversy stemmed from the claim by Shaver, and his editor and publisher Ray Palmer, that Shaver's writings, while presented in the guise of fiction, were fundamentally true. Shaver's stories were promoted by Ray Palmer as "The Shaver Mystery".

During the last decades of his life, Shaver devoted himself to "rock books"—stones that he believed had been created by the advanced ancient races and embedded with legible pictures and texts. He produced paintings based on the rock images and photographed the rock books extensively, as well as writing about them. Posthumously, Shaver has gained a reputation as an artist and his paintings and photos have been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York and elsewhere.

23. Ep 27 - Extra Live Edition!
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (audio/mpeg, 0.00Mb)

For episode number 4, Chad and Justin were actually together in the same room for a change at Chad's house in Morgantown, WV. What ensued was a great impromptu conversation about everything from cars, to USPS fails, how we met in grade school, Justin got expelled from Jr. High School, terrible things we did in school, and then we move to a great conversation about creativity and how to maintain passion and creativity amidst our busy lives.

This episode was a lot of fun to record and we hope you all like it as much as we do!

24. Ep 26 - Fred Crisman
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (audio/mpeg, 0.00Mb)

For this episode of The Wrong Way The Stripe Goes Chad and I's topic is Fred Crisman" Fred Lee Crisman (July 22, 1919 - Washington December 10, 1975) was an author from Tacoma, Washington known for claims of paranormal events and 20th century conspiracies.

In 1947, Crisman was involved in the Maury Island incident, an early UFO hoax. Crisman's "fellow UFO witness" Harold Dahl believed the 1960s TV series, The Invaders was based on Crisman's life.[1] Prior to this, Crisman had written to Amazing Stories magazine claiming that he battled "mysterious and evil" underground creatures to free himself from a cave in Burma during World War II.[1]

In 1969, Crisman was subpoenaed by Jim Garrison to testify in the case against Clay Shaw in the John F. Kennedy assassination.[1] A photocopied document later circulated among Kennedy assassination buffs claimed that Crisman was one of the "three tramps" allegedly employed by a secret government agency.[2] During this time, he hosted a radio talk show under the pseudonym "Jon Gold" and wrote a book, The Murder of a City, Tacoma published in 1970 through Transistor Publishing Company. The book was described by reviewer Michael Sullivan as a "weird, politically slanted rant" that manages to "tie corruption in Tacoma to everything from communist infiltrators to the Kennedy assassination"

25. Ep 25 - The Jar Jar Binks of Podcast Episodes
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r... download (audio/mpeg, 0.00Mb)

Horribly late, and plagued with technical difficulties, Chad and I finally finished episode two. This was originally going to be an all Star Wars episode, and the first half of it still is. However, we got cut off before we finished, then we got tied up for about two weeks before we recorded the second half. Then that recording that got lost by YouTube somehow since we were doing it as a hangout on-air and it just failed to save the arcrive. So all of that we ended up having to re-record the second half about a month after we did the first half and by this point we were pretty tired of talking about Star Wars so just sorta went off on wild tangents for about 2 hours. So I edited that down and tacked it onto the first half which basically turned it into the Jar Jar Binks of podcast episodes. We also ended up just going back to Skype with voice only to lessen our chances of failure. Anyway, it still has its moments, so we hope you enjoy it! :)
