After a short hiatus, Smooth Traffic returns to preview the 2019 Summer Road Trip! Once again though, Ben misses out, though for an altogether more important reason...

3. Episode Fifty Seven - 2019 F1 Season Preview
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 32.01Mb)

It's that time of year again, as Jonny and Rob huddle around the microphone to discuss the upcoming Formula One season... and Ben's here this time too! As Rob and Jonny discuss who they think should and shouldn't be on the grid, as well as making some absurdly bold predictions, Ben takes us through which teams have the best colour schemes for the new season, before choosing a team to support. If he was actually going to watch the F1. Based purely on their livery.

4. Episode Fifty Six - 30 Second Reviews, Snow, Crisps, Classic Cars & Smooth Traffic Action Figures
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 46.02Mb)

The chaps return for 2019 and, once again, Jonny brings his own unique style to the 30 second reviews, while Rob starts the year by repeating himself about driving etiquette in snowy conditions. The Champions League of crisps gets underway and there are a few upsets in the first knockout round. Ben hosts another 'higher or lower' quiz, this time covering classic cars, and there's some contention about the winner. The chaps also receive a fax about a tweet (because it's 2019 after all) and discuss what accessories would be provided if there were Smooth Traffic action figures.

5. Episode Fifty Five - Christmas 2018, Ford Commercial Vehicles, Edge on Art, Clothing, Mince Pies & Culture
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 45.49Mb)

It's Christmas, and the chaps have gotten together to produce a vaguely-themed episode! Rob offers Jonny an early Christmas present to celebrate his new life as an office worker, but Ben slams the brakes on before things get out of hand. Jonny compares the Ford Ranger to Ray Mears and talks about the Transit EV concept. Ben and Rob try to repair the damage from the last episode by giving Jonny some car-based art to review, and also review the mince pies that they've tried so far this year. There's a culture quiz just for Ben, so that Rob and Jonny can figure out exactly how much help he needs, and the chaps discuss the exorbitant prices of men's clothing.

6. Episode Fifty Four - 30 Second Reviews, Edge on Art, Tech Talk, Cyclists & Crisps
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 41.49Mb)

Jonny provides yet more concise and informative reviews via the 30 second review format, before announcing a Champions League-style tournament to discover the best crisps. Ben asks Jonny to review some art produced by a rather unexpected source, with inevitable results, while Rob and Jonny have an insightful discussion about cyclists and bad drivers. There's also time for a roundup of tech news from F1, Audi, Samsung, science and the toilet industry.

7. Episode Fifty Three - 30 Second Reviews, Bacon as a Plant, Expensive Whiskey, Fake Ferraris & F1 Memorabilia
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 40.78Mb)

Despite Jonny's best efforts to technologically sabotage himself, this episode almost goes off without a hitch. The chaps receive a fax from no less than a deity, which raises the question: what plant should bacon be? Jonny has driven a lot of cars recently, and provides his own unique insight on these via our classic 30 second reviews format. There are some rants thanks to expensive whiskey and chopped-up Ferraris appearing on Twitter, and Ben also puts together a pretty decent quiz on F1 memorabilia.

8. Episode Fifty Two - Ice Hockey, SMMT South, FIFA vs PES, Bitter Cars, and a load of drinking
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 40.95Mb)

For the first time in a while, the Smooth Traffic guys have all ended up in the same room together. The chaps discuss the Bracknell Bees ice hockey team, following a trip to watch them play the Invicta Dynamos, as well as providing 30-second reviews of all the cars that they drove at the recent SMMT regional test days. Jonny asks why USB cables are so expensive, and why they break so often, leading Rob and Ben to question Jonny's life choices. The chaps try to figure out who wins the eternal struggle for dominance between FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer for the current season, and Jonny reveals Bitter cars to the world, much to everyone's dismay. There's also a lot of drinking, followed by tasting notes from the world's newest experts!

https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 13.97Mb)

In a special edition of Smooth Traffic, Rob and Jonny look back at the life of Portuguese footballer Ricardo Quaresma, and celebrate his 35th birthday by proclaiming the 26th of September to be 'Quaresmus Day'.

10. Episode Fifty - Fiftieth Celebrations, Jaguar, Alfa Romeo, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Drunk Horses
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 44.14Mb)

Smooth Traffic has (finally) made it to 50 episodes, and the chaps celebrate in style(ish). Jonny reviews two Jaguars, the XE and XF, as well as the Alfa Romeo Giulia. There's a world exclusive Alfa Romeo Stelvio passenger ride, as well as thoughts on the recent gameplay trailer release for Red Dead Redemption 2. Jonny reviews more art, there's an exciting round of Deadliest Boot Spaces, and the usual level of disjointed discussion.

11. Episode Forty Nine - Jaguar F-Type & Ford Focus Reviews, Faraday Future, Jonny on Art, Deadliest Boot Spaces, Dictionary Corner & a Car Park Crash
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 44.09Mb)

Jonny gives his verdict on the 2-litre Jaguar F-Type that he recently drove for a week, as well as the brand new Ford Focus that he travelled to France to drive. Ben tells the exciting tale of witnessing a crash in a car park while shopping at his local Pets at Home, before going on to make Jonny very miserable with news about Faraday Future. Rob somehow manages to cheer Jonny up with a return to Dictionary Corner and Jonny starts handing out vouchers. There's also time for Deadliest Boot Spaces and a contentious Jonny on Art.

12. Episode Forty Eight - Jonny's New Job, Tim Sherwood, Jaguar & Audi Test Previews, Jonny on Art, Deadliest Boot Spaces & F1 2017
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 30.44Mb)

The biggest news in Smooth Traffic history is announced, as Jonny reveals details about his new job. While reviewing the World Cup to date, Rob receives a birthday surprise in the form of an 'interview' that Ben & Jonny organised with Tim Sherwood. Jonny previews his upcoming tests of the 2-litre Jaguar F-Type and the new Audi R8 RWS. There's another round of the smash hit Deadliest Boot Spaces, as well as Jonny's opinions on Picasso and a review of F1 2017 on the PS4.

13. Episode Forty Seven - 2018 FIFA World Cup Preview
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 44.90Mb)

In this episode, the chaps preview the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia, in their own unique way. There's a rundown of the teams that qualified, the teams that didn't and some absurd predictions along the way. Jonny (allegedly) sends a report from Kenya to see whether an African team can be crowned champions this time around, and there's also some football themed art and an unusual Dictionary Corner.

14. Episode Forty Six - Timestain: The Movie, Deadliest Boot Spaces, Jonny on Art, VW Golf GTi, Dictionary Corner & More
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 43.59Mb)

Episode 46 picks up where the last episode left off, with Jonny being inspired to begin writing a screenplay for 'Timestain' that features Rob and Ben cast in the main roles. Deadliest Boot Spaces returns again, as Ben tries to claw back the deficit against Rob with help from Andre the Giant. Jonny reviews a Botticelli and Rob tries to avoid segment-envy by giving Dictionary Corner a flavour that Jonny would enjoy. There's also another fax, and the chaps discuss the VW Golf GTi TCR.

15. Smooth Traffic Episode Forty Five - Deadliest Boot Spaces, 5 Car Garage, Improving the Roast Dinner & Teleportation vs Time Travel
https://www.podomatic.com/podc... download (audio/mpeg, 49.97Mb)

Episode 45 opens with a return to one of the most popular segments in Smooth Traffic history... Deadliest Boot Spaces. Jonny once again hosts the hit gameshow segment to discover just how deadly boot spaces can be. Jonny was given free-rein on this episode, so a segment on the disappearance of white dog poo is not to be missed. Rob and Ben manage to restore some sanity as the chaps go through their car histories to come up with a 5 car garage of cars that they've owned. Jonny reveals his method for improving the roast dinner, and there's also another fax.
