It's a new beginning for the 2 in 1 Showcase podcast! With a slight change in format, the guys decide to go back and talk about a character who didn't get his due the first time they discussed him -- Daredevil. Blake and Chase talk about the character's history, some of their favorite stories, the way the book is featured today, and rumors of a new movie. But that's not all! With Gustav gone, the Showcase gang is still scattered to the four winds, and it will be a few weeks before Blake and Chase can get together to record again. He seems to win a pick of the week every other episode, so Blake and Chase finally devote an entire hour to the amazing Geoff Johns. From his groundbreaking work on Green Lantern to his upcoming revamp of the Flash to the totally brilliant revitalization of the Legion of Super-Heroes, the guys discuss why they like his work, what makes him so darn good, and whether or not Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds will be as awesome as Blackest Night. In the picks, Blake goes with the first issue of the new Vertigo series, Air, while Chase is blown away by The Walking Dead #51. It's time for a whole new Showcase! Blake and Chase of the 2 in 1 Showcase on Comics podcast are going to turn their attention to the silver screen in the new 2 in 1 Showcase at the Movies! Every few weeks, the guys' "movie club" will delve in to a film that's out on DVD, pick it apart, and explain why they like it or why they don't. For our first episode, we delve into the world of the 1999 Brendan Fraser film The Mummy, talk briefly about its sequels and the other movies in its world, and explain why we still dig it even nine years later. It's the episode Blake and Chase have been hoping to record for over ten years now! (That's right. Even before podcasting existed.) The Valiant Universe -- home of heroes such as Harbinger, X-O Manowar, Archer and Armstrong and Rai and the Future Force -- is slowly making a return with new hardcover editions, and the promise of new comics to come. This week, the guys tell you their favorite Valiant stories, cross their fingers for the return for Magnus: Robot Fighter and Solar: Man of the Atom to the line, and explain how they would resurrect Valiant as a line of ongoing comics. In the picks this week, Blake cheers for the return of Firebreather and Chase is still in love with Green Lantern: Secret Origin. It's part two of our Free Comic Book Day coverage! Chase and Blake return to the floor at BSI Comics where they talk to Marcus DiGesu and Anthony Figaro, the creators behind Lightning Age Studios' upcoming Justice City Chronicles graphic novel and the Leonidas: Rise of the King miniseries. After chatting with the customers and making their picks of the week (including DC Universe #0 from BSI's Jason, Wolverine: First Class #2 from Chase and Action Comics #864 from Blake), we talk with Doug Raymond and Monty from Welcome to Border City. Kathleen Ledet and Jen Suran tell us about their documentary film Weeding By Example, and Robby Musso -- artist of multiple IDW TransFormers comics and Speed Racer: Chronicles of the Racer, sits down for a long-awaited interview. With a Final Crisis brewing for the DC Universe, Blake and Chase dive into DC's past to discuss the history of, high points from and ultimate ramifications of one of the greatest crossovers ever, the original Crisis on Infinite Earths. The guys talk about everything that led into the first Crisis, everything that happened to the story, and how its effects are still felt in the DCU's stories today.
