Description: Click Here To Return To The Truth and The Way

Hi Friends,

I've been building a web-site of my own these days. I'm sorry that I haven't posted here in months. Now that I have my web-site up and running, I would like to use this blog as the official blog of the site which is located at www.thetruthandtheway.com. For those of you whom have followed the link from the site, feel free to read some of my entries here. I started this blog back in late August of 2005 in order to document my journey from America to Italy. It includes links to a few podcasts that I published on iTunes under the same Journey of Passion title. These podcasts document the beginning of my journey and my travels from San Francisco to Italy. You will also find here a few songs that I recorded with my Apple iBook G4. Yes, I am a singer as well. These aren't songs I have written, but karaoke tracks that I've recorded over and mixed.

Anyway, if you browse through this blog going in chronological order, the whole blog and podcasts will make more sense. Enjoy and feel free to comment here on www.thetruthandtheway.com. Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day.

Description: I just wanted to post another song that I have recorded. I don't have much time to write much more than this. I hope you enjoy this one. It was originally sung by Lara Fabian, and after recorded by Josh Groban. The karaoke track that I used to record this was taken from a karaoke album of Josh Groban titled "You Sing The Songs of Josh Groban".

Description: CAN YOU BELIEVE HOW LONG IT'S BEEN!!!

I don't really want to make any excuses for why I haven't made any more podcasts or posted even a single word on this site since November. The best thing is to simply say I am sorry, and indeed I am, and start creating again. In this last week I have received a few comments that have motivated me to continue. A few of them were from two girls that were practically sisters to me when I was a child. I grew up with them in every way possible. We were home schooled together, went to gymnastics and swimming classes, and learned to play violin together. I am grateful to both of you for inspiring me!

I want to mention that I originally started this site to simply host the audio file of my Podcasts (Internet Radio Show or Travelogue as in my case). After hearing that many people have run into problems trying to download these excessively long 30 minute audio clips, I have decided to change things a bit. I'd like to apologize profoundly for this tremendous annoiance.

After receiving a few requests to hear my mother's music as well as the songs that I have recorded, I want to announce that I am now including links to only the songs. Please note that whatever songs I have recorded are copyrighted to the originally songwriters and singers and are not to be distributed in anyway. My mother's music is completely original and is copyrighted to her. Thanks for your interest!

Music of Joyce Nestor (my mother)

Music that I have Recorded

Cinema Paradiso

Music by Ennio Morricone & Andrea Morricone

This is just a start. I don't want to post all the songs at once because that would take away the anticipation and leave me with nothing left to offer you but boring words. I'm just kidding! ;-)

I have also made a web site with my photos from Milano. Click Below!

EPISODE 5: HONESTY

Well, I finally got my self in gear and produced my 5th episode. It's appropriately titled being that I speak very candidly about what has been holding me back from being productive. For a while now I've allo
wed myself to fall into the pit of depression again because of high expectations for my life here in Europe and also due to perfectionism. Thanks to my practice of chanting, I came to a moment of enlightenment that woke me up. So here I present Episode 5. You can call it "bearing my soul" if you want, for that is what it truly is.

You will hear that I make reference to N eale Donald Walsch and his writings as well as the Buddhist organization that has taught me the practice of Chanting. They call themselves the Soka Gakkai International or SGI. I've included more of my mother's wonderful music as well, and read my newest poem "We Are One".
I hope this episode can be an awakening for all of us. Reminding us to be honest with the world and most importantly with ourselves, in regards to who we truly are and what we
are going through in life.

JourneyofPassion: Episode5

WE ARE ONE

We are one

both divine

and flesh

but all

one

How

can we allow

a child to go unfed

be thirsty, or without home?

How

can I sit here and pretend

that I don't care

what goes on out there?

As if I am somehow

not connected

to the whole

a piece

unto myself

Do you think

what hurts others

does not hurt you?

Do you believe
the lie,

the lie that tells you

you are separate,

not connected?

We must open our eyes

to see,

to see the truth
that all is one

and one is all

what hurts another

hurts us all

I await that glorious day,

the day when the world

no longer sees with it's eyes

but sees from it's heart

through an inner sight

that sees not

the things that separate us

but only

the things that bind us together

as brothers

as sisters

as family

the one thing

we share in common

our humanity

Waiting Patiently
I am here

EPISODE 5 IS DELAYED FOR THE MOMENT

Thank you for your patience. Please enjoy this new poem of mine. You can probably figure out my inspiration for this one.

LISTENING

lack of ability
to shine
to breath with intent
or to make oneself known

I yearn to be heard
fully

to be free
from this burden of language
to communicate without words
to hear without hearing
no ears to use
but instead to feel
everything
from within
to know and understand
all
at the beginning
and
the end

Thanks for tuning in again to Journey of Passion. I'm sorry for not publishing last week for I had laryngitis. Thankfully it cleared up quite quickly. This week's episode is short and simple. I talk about beginning the actual travel part of my journey and what places I will visit before I settle down in Italy. I also included another of my mother's songs and two other poems of mine. Click on the link below to enjoy! My poetry in written format is included here as well as this photo link to my San Francisco Gallery.

JourneyofPassion:Ep isode4

IN SILENCE

there is a peace
that can only be found
in silence
when the mouth and mind
are at rest
acceptance increasing
freedom to be
me

GRAVITATION

As I draw near you
the weight of your presence
awakens every hidden emotion and desire
and pulls me ever closer
to your center

Well, I may be a week late, but I published nonetheless. Thank you all for your tremendous patience. I hope you deem the wait well worth-it. This week I feature music from my mother, Joyce Elizabeth Nestor, my own version of the beautiful Don Mclean song, "Vincent", another of my many poems, and a few quick rants. Shades of Grey

As the long awaited light
Breaks on the distant horizon
The shadow of my figure
Begins to cast its grey
For with the light, comes
Awakened sense of sight
Revealing what night
Had long since cast away

The truth that lies beneath
Can now be fully seen
As dark as it may be
It now must be believed
For now this ever rising
Sun upon horizon
Breaks through the surface
Of my skin
Unveiling all that's held within

Description: Episode 3 Coming Soon...

I am running behind in production, so I won't be releasing Episode 3 for a few more days. I appreciate your patience. I will have it up and running as soon as I can. Thanks for tuning in.

Here's the poem from last week in written format:

Gordes(Provence), France (c) 2003 Alessandro L DeNino

Peace

I never would have thought
There'd ever be a day
When I would feel so free,
Free of pain
and rain
No more tears
To stream down my face
At least for this moment,
Moment of grace

I look
to the sky
A sky so filled with
space
An endless space disguised in blue
Guarding the infinite beyond our race
That vast sea of stars
Revealed by nights cloak of dark
That moon of night
Reflecting fro
m the sun of day

Oh, what a beautiful
realm
of wonders known
To be known by you and I
Today and Forever

Description: Passion has fueled movement for the greatest accomplishments made by man and some of the most heinous. Passion can be likened to the wind behind the sails with the rutter representing intuition and judgement. We need both to steer us in a focused direction in order to arrive at a desired destination. That destination is totally up to us, our lives are completely in our hands, not the hands of some distant deity looking from above and judging. I believe that we all know this at a cellular level.

I am a man of passion first and foremost, and I've always been, even in the midst of dark depression. I've chosen this title because here and now I am embarking upon an adventure that will take me to a foreign land, Italy, which I have loved since a child, and towards the music career I have always desired. Passion has it's name written all over my journey. Along the way I hope to share my other passions as well, such as my deepest desire for mankind to finally unite in remembrance of one of the greatest truths, that we all are ONE expressed through individual yet equally brilliant light.

My greatest hope yearns for a greater awakening and care for our fellow man, so that in our near future there will never be a man, woman, or child that goes without food, clothing, or shelter in a world that has more than enough for everyone, and then some. Please follow me on this Journey of Passion. I hope that it will spark your unique fire that burns within, for when it is awakened and you follow your heart, that joy alone can be the catylist for great change.

Now, I am going to introduce my podcast which is also titled Journey of Passion. The purpose of this blog is to host this podcast. My goal is to post a new blog everytime I post a new podcast. In that blog will be a description of what the podcast includes, links pertaining to information that I speak about, and photos taken along the journey.

(Episode 1 has been removed due to it's amateur style, excessive rambling, and poor audio quality. To be honest, it was kind of boring. I didn't like it. But thanks to it I managed to break into the world of podcasting, and for that I am grateful. So long Episode 1!)
