Ya Ya is the smaller and more playful of the two, but the day we were there she secluded herself in the top of a tree. I overheard a keeper saying that she has done that before, one time staying up for 27 hours. So Karen took some movies of Le Le as he wandered around his "day room", munching on bamboo leaves and posing for his fans. BTW, Pandas are constantly eating. Since bamboo leaves don't have much nourishment, Pandas have to eat about forty pounds of them each day. That's a lot of leaves!

Description: (Episode 96) Parked at the Mayflower agent in Fayetteville, waiting for clearance on the shipment we came to deliver, I continue the discussion with comments on Qua ntum Entanglement, Dr. Michael Behe, Irreducible Complexity and a few other things that sound a lot more complicated than they really are. I share some simple but powerful ideas that you won't hear from the media, due to the biased coverage of certain topics. Here's an interesting quote that relates to these things:
"I actually regard quantum computers as being kind of poetic. You know, after you've talked to atoms for a while and get on their wavelength and learn to listen to what they're saying back, well, what they're saying has a certain strange and unearthly poetry of it's own. And indeed you might imagine trying to use a quantum computer to compose a poem that says many things at once. Except, in fact, poetry often does that. One of the beautiful things about poetry, of course, is that words have many meanings. And so, maybe we could say that poetry is already kind of quantum mechanical."
Seth Lloyd, author of "Programming the Universe: A Computer Scientist Takes On the Cosmos"
NPR's Talk of the Nation, Science Friday for 2006-04-07
(If atoms produce "a certain strange and unearthly poetry" of their own, is it a mistake to assume that there was some kind of Poet who created the atoms? -Ken)

Did you know they actually sell real gold (from the ground) here at the 49er truck stop? And if you ever get a chance to grab some of their grub, check out the pork chili- it is the *bomb*!
