1. The Temple Offerings: Getting Close to G-d - Part 1

Description: Temple Talk
Arabs Riot, Temple Mount Closed To Jews, Obama miffed, Hillary Clinton insulted.., but the First International Annual Temple Mount Awareness Day is an overwhelming success! Tune into this week's special two-hour live edition of Temple Talk as Rabbi Richman and Yitzchak Reuven reflect on the implications of this historic day and receive many calls from listeners who deeply identify with the rebuilding of the Holy Temple. It's Rosh Chodesh Nisan and the very day of the dedication of the Tabernacle... G-d wants us to roll us our sleeves and get to work!
This week from the TEMPLE INSTITUTE: WEEKLY TORAH PORTION: VAYIKRA, with Rabbi Chaim Richman.
As we begin the book of Leviticus, (Vayikra), the third of the five books of Moses, the Torah gets down to the heart of the matter: The korbanot offerings made in the Tabernacle, (and the Holy Temple). These commandments which are difficult for us to understand and maybe even hard to warm up to, are, nevertheless, an expression of G-ds will, and a test of our faith in Him, and our desire to perform His will. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rn2dpkJoAxw
LIGHT TO THE NATIONS, with Rabbi Chaim Richman: The Breastplate of the High Priest: The nitty gritty details that go into the making of the choshen - breastplate - of the High Priest, and the awesome spiritual power that it contains. http://universaltorah.com/programming/cat egory/temple-institute-light-to-the-nations< /A>
NEWS UPDATE: International Temple Mount Awareness Day. Important Update This morning, on the First Annual International Temple Mount Awareness Day, dozens of Jews and Gentiles gathered together at the foot of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to ascend in reverence and prayer to the holy site. We were denied access by the police, who essentially caved in to Moslem incitement and violence... exactly the insidious pattern that we seek to change, and that the activities of this day were designed to call attention to. However, the crowd remained undaunted and, in a spirit of Temple renewal and activism, gathered around the newly built Golden Menorah to hear encouraging words of Torah wisdom from Rabbi Yisrael Ariel and Rabbi Chaim Richman. The impromtu ceremony concluded with a sanctification of the New Moon of Nisan, and joyous song. We have created a momentum and we will not stop here. Click here for a brief video of this morning's gathering. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1otO5z7l0 U

Description: Temple Talk
As we prepare to conclude the book of Exodus this week with the construction of the Tabernacle and the tallying of its parts, Rabbi Richman and Yitzchak Reuven reflect upon the repercussions of the heinous Golden Calf for our generation - for our sages instruct us that this sin is revisited in each generation. Who are the nefarious Mixed Multitude who can still be heard to murmur amongst us "These are your gods, Israel, " about every false and distracting notion, fad, political expediency and change of mind? Indeed, the golden calf is all about distraction. But the focus is upon the Tablets of the Law which can be seen and read "from both sides, " with the identical result. What is the secret of this enigmatic teaching?

7. Letting G-d into Our World, Instead of Closing Him out
http://www.israelnationalnews....
download (audio/mpeg, 16.21Mb)
Description: Temple Talk
Adar is here! What, me worry? Our sages exhort us that "when Adar enters, we increase in joy ". There is something about the very essence of this month that radiates joy. However, it's not just because Purim falls out in the middle. Rabbi Richman and Yitzchak Reuven begin an exploration of the secret of Adar's great happiness. This week is Parshat Teruma, and our hosts reflect on G-d's command to build a House for His Name, and speak frankly about the need for all people to participate in the building of the Holy Temple.
This week from the Temple Institute: WEEKLY TORAH PORTION: TERUMAH, with Rabbi Chaim Richman.
"And they will build Me a sanctuary and I will dwell amongst them. " (Exodus 25:8) "Build it for ME, " G-d says. For My name's sake. I want to dwell amongst man in this world. Such is My desire. G-d is not asking for perfection from mankind. Only for a welcome into this world. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liKCgPwGwe c
LIGHT TO THE NATIONS, with Rabbi Chaim Richman: THE HIDDEN MIRACLES OF ADAR: The joy we experience throughout the entire month of Adar is not solely in anticipation of the Purim celebration which marks the highlight of Adar. The joy is the joy of recognizing the hidden miracles that permeate our world, providing a window through which we experience G-d's presence each and every day throughout the year. http://universaltorah.com/programming/cat egory/temple-institute-light-to-the-nations< /A>
BAT MELECH - with Rena Richman: THE SONG OF DEVORA: Devora, the prophet, judge, and songstress, was one of Israel's greatest and most powerful leaders during the period of the judges. Her spiritual roots hearken all the way back to the exodus from Egypt, and her contribution to her people reverberates to today. Part II of a two part series. http://universaltorah.com/programming/cat egory/temple-institute-light-to-the-nations/bat-me lech
"Speak to the children of Israel, and have them take for Me an offering; from every person whose heart inspires him to generosity, you shall take My offering. " (Ex. 25:2) The Terumah experience of inspired generosity is alive and well and every bit as necessary today as it was in the desert. In order to build a House for G-d, we all must play our part. Join the Temple Institute in our efforts to make it happen. https://www.templeinstitute.org/donate.ht m

8. The Altar as Rectification for Adam HaRishon and Every Man
http://www.israelnationalnews....
download (audio/mpeg, 16.21Mb)
Description: Temple Talk
Last week, we read in Parshat Yitro of the most powerful collective spiritual experience in recorded human history: how the people of Israel stood at Mount Sinai, united as one man, and received the Torah from G-d Himself. The people "saw the voice " of Hashem and ascended to the highest level possible.
How can we keep that moment alive? How do we keep the connection to that moment fresh and vibrant? Perhaps this is the greatest challenge we face in serving G-d.
This week, we come crashing back "down to earth " in Parshat Mishpatim, whose basic laws form the foundation of the Torah-based society Israel is to create. But there is a bridge between these two Torah readings, which, properly understood, communicates our Creator's message to man, and that bridge is manifest in the concluding verses of last week's Torah reading. The message: the heavens are fine, but this world, with all its base physicality and nitty-gritty reality, is what really counts. The best tribute and avenue of approach to a G-d who has no end? An altar of earth.
Tune into this week's Temple Talk as Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman discuss the significance of building an altar out of earth and stones. It's about the tikkun, the rectification of Adam, his basic essence, and ultimately, every human being.
Our hosts also discuss the meaning of the special Torah reading this Shabbat, Shekalim, and significance of the Holy Temple half-shekel today. It?s a mitzva for everyone to be involved in the building of the Holy Temple!
This week from the Temple Institute: WEEKLY TORAH PORTION: MISHPATIM, with Rabbi Chaim Richman. "All that the L-rd spoke we will do and we will hear. " (Exodus 24:7) The very essence of our relationship with HaShem: We will do even before we fully understand G-d's word. The secret of Israel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yC-KfgpUKr I
LIGHT TO THE NATIONS, with Rabbi Chaim Richman: AN ALTAR OF EARTH: We have just completed the Torah reading of Yitro, in which we received Torah at Sinai, and this week we are proceeding to the Torah reading, Mishpatim, in which we learn the details of Torah's instructions for everyday living. How do we make such a fast and radical transition from the ethereal to the "mundane " civil ordinances? The earthen altar, described in the closing lines of Yitro, provides the answer, and why the Temple Institute's current Altar Project is so essential to mankind today. http://universaltorah.com/programming/cat egory/temple-institute-light-to-the-nations< /A>
PRESIDENT OBAMA and the HOLY TEMPLE TODAY Unemployment, foreclosures, faltering economy, terrorism, grifters, Presidents Obama's State of the Union Address, and the 16th of March: What do all these things have to do with the building of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem? The answer to all these questions are addressed by Rabbi Chaim Richman in this straight talking five minute video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWQ97A0_m4 Y
THE GRA, THE CHURVA, & THE HOLY TEMPLE Regarding the Rumor about the Building of the Holy Temple on March 16th, 2010, and the Story that Lies Behind It: Much excitement has been stirred up recently over a two hundred year old prophecy and its apparent upcoming fulfillment. 9. The Mysterious Yitro: You Can Run, but You Can't Hide
http://www.israelnationalnews....
download (audio/mpeg, 16.21Mb)
Description: Temple Talk
In a riveting edition of Temple Talk, Rabbi Richman and Yitzchak Reuven explore some fascinating Midrashic traditions about the early lives of both Moshe and Yitro, and explore the theme that emerges: Each one of us must develop the courage to change, in order to become the person we could really be. And isn't that the goal of the giving of the Torah and the Ten Commandments, which happens in this week's Torah reading of Yitro? It's all about change... on an individual, national, and global level. Our hosts welcome special guest Jim Long, noted Noachide author, acclaimed documentary filmmaker, publisher and radio personality (www.lightcatcherprod.com), who shares the odyssey of his life's journey.
This week from the Temple Institute: WEEKLY TORAH PORTION: YITRO, with Rabbi Chaim Richman. "I am Hashem your G-d. " (Exodus 20:2) This is the first commandment and it is essentially the last. G-d has woven His name throughout the entire Torah, and His presence throughout all of creation. To know His name and to believe in Him is the entirety of of all the commandments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kw8GX-wzYm s
LIGHT TO THE NATIONS, with Rabbi Chaim Richman: The Priestly Garments: Part III: To Make and to Wear: The priests are commanded to wear the priestly garments in order to perform the Divine service. But first, it is a commandment which falls upon the shoulders of all Israel to participate in the creation of the garments, either by employing their particular expertise, or by financially supporting the acquisition of the raw materials for the garments and their manufacture. http://universaltorah.com/programming/cat egory/temple-institute-light-to-the-nations< /A>

http://www.israelnationalnews....
download (audio/mpeg, 16.21Mb)
Description: Temple Talk
In the Torah of real-time, Israel departs from Egypt in this week’s Torah portion of Beshalach, leaving Egyptian bondage behind forever. Or did we? Rabbi Richman and Yitzchak Reuven discuss the crossing of the sea and learn that the Jewish people had a lot of issues to overcome before they could unite to cross over, and those issues are still relevant today. Plus: Tu B'Shevat, manna from heaven and more!
This week from the Temple Institute:
WEEKLY TORAH PORTION: BESHALACH, with Rabbi Chaim Richman. The Israelites encounter with the deadly Amalek clearly shows the danger when our faith in G-d weakens. But faith in G-d is not enough. Even the wicked can be men of faith. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTmNjj_70JA
THE MONTH OF SHEVAT: REBIRTH, TORAH, AND THE HOLY TEMPLE: Each Hebrew month conveys its own unique message. The theme of this month of Shevat is the concept of renewal and rebirth. The process of rebirth is inherent in the very essence of this month. It reaches its crescendo on the 15th day of the month, when we celebrate the holiday of Tu B'Shevat. This day, called "The New Year of Trees, " conveys an uplifting idea: our sages teach that on this day, a unique wave of Divine energy flows through all of creation, a forerunner of the restoration, rejuvenation and rebirth of spring. Deep within the natural world, the vital force of life begins to rise up, within each tree, within each blade of grass, preparing for renewal. To continue reading this message from Rabbi Chaim Richman, please click here: http://www.templeinstitute.org/shevat-renewal.htm< BR> LIGHT TO THE NATIONS, with Rabbi Chaim Richman: The Priestly Garments: Part I: Each detail of the priestly garments has a unique spiritual task, and forms part of an entire outfit which is designed to represent all of Israel before G-d. http://universaltorah.com/programming/category/temple- institute-light-to-the-nations

The month of Shevat is upon us, traditionally a time for renewal, rectifying sins and receiving the wisdom of the Torah. Why is the “bucket” this month’s ruling constellation? Rabbi Richman and Yitzchak Reuven also reflect on the scope of the terrible earthquake in Haiti, Israel’s role in the rescue operations and the larger issue of human suffering and G-d’s providence.
This week from the Temple Institute: Weekly Torah Portion: Bo, with Rabbi Chaim Richman.
A new world order. http://www.israelnationalnews....

Description: Temple Talk
On the backdrop of the Midrash's timeless lessons that shed light upon Pharoah's character and conduct and the horrific specifics of our ancestor's slavery in Egypt, Rabbi Richman emphasizes one of his favorite themes: The stories of the Torah are the magnificent stories of our as-yet-unfolding lives. There is much more to what we encounter in the weekly Torah portions then meets the eye. What does it take to bring a person to cry out to G-d from the deepest depths of the heart? Our hosts ask this question and illustrate the impact of the moment of truth through a beautiful story.
Issues of leadership: Rashi cues us in on what it really means to care about one's people, as in the case of the "Jewish policemen " who reported to the Egyptian taskmasters, taking the blows for the Jews. And speaking of leadership: What does Pharaoh's decree for the Egyptians to throw their own children into the Nile, have to do with the Transportation Security Administration, and the release of terrorists in Israel? All this and more on this week's edition of Temple Talk.
This week from the Temple Institute: Weekly Torah Portion: Va'era, with Rabbi Chaim Richman.
G-d sets limits on creation, but His love for Israel cannot be contained by these same limitations. In order to effect the exodus of the Israelite nation from the exile of Egypt, G-d reached beyond the laws of nature, and turned the natural order on its head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkJKirqXyH4
Light to the Nations, with Rabbi Chaim Richman: The Holy Temple: Man-Made or Heaven-Sent, Part V (Conclusion). Torah was given to man, not angels, and our sages tell us that one hour in this world is worth an eternity in the world to come. The Holy Temple is of this world, and it is our, and only our, responsibility to build it. http://universaltorah.com/programming/category/temple- institute-light-to-the-nations
