Zen/Together/Georgy http://squish1964.libsyn.com/i... download (audio/mpeg, 5.89Mb) Description: The first chapter is Captain & Tennille's "Love Will Keep Us Together" played with enthusiasm by the Oberon Junior High Stage Band in 1976. The bridge reminds me of a 70's era detective show music, like the themes of Cannon or Barnaby Jones. This song was a world wide hit the year before and the kids know this song and they like this arrangement. This is public school arts and music at its best! Next we have "Zen project #1". More 3 Voices fun, you will find a video of it her e on YouTube. And an improved arrangement of "Georgy Girl" and that will be it for that.

It's only in the end when someone realizes that fleas, dogs and ukuleles are related. It's a chuckle....

Beckman will present from their album "European Tour-April 1971" the selection "American Jazz Mass Kyrie-Gloria-Sanctus and Benedictus" acc by jazz combo: tpt: Jeff Taylor, alto sax: George Schneider, bari sax: Richard Robertson, bs: Cris Gudeman, drums: Mike Miqueion. The choir will end abruptly, the prayer will return "corrected". It's strange how the choir ends. At least it's at a phrase ending.

I collect public school records from different groups on vinyl, 50's, 60's, 70's and sometime stuff from the 80's. I also like getting self produced recordings from people like a local band or even a guy whom played a piano bar in Chicago. Things like that. The first recording I'm going to play for you is the 1987 Green Mountain H.S. Jazz Ensemble "Spectrum" and they will be playing Miles Davis' "Milestones". The recording for the time is excellent. The trumpet solo is a little tentative, but the drummer is a wild kid...... Kinda.
