Then Sancho of Black Light In The Attic fame drops in a little audio treat, telling a couple of stories of his experiences with the DopeTribe's favourite secret sacrament, inlcuding the story of the first time he ever got stoned, and one which perfectly demonstrates the psychedelic power of Cannabis, and finishing up with some dubious health advice for thos who've embraced the Vaporizer Revolution! The Austin Wolf drops in from Texas with the sotry of how he encountered the DoOpefiend.co.uk Podcast Network, some awesome pot poetry, and the top ten reasons why he loves the Dopecast! 4. DopecastChristmas2008
http://dopecast.libsyn.com/ind... download (audio/mpeg, 55.53Mb)

Description: On this year's special Christmas Day Dopecast, the Dopefiend is in a fiendishly festive mood as he settles down to a serious Christmas morning vape session, starting things off with an I-Inhale packed with New York City Diesel and a chat about what makes this time of year so stoner-friendly, especially with the added bonus of portable vaping this year, how some stoners are explaining away their I-Inhales to confused onlookers, then following a communal moment of celebration for all portable vape-fiends, the Dopefiend hits the emails, starting with a message of festive harvest cheer from long-time listener Podders who's just experienced the benefits of a Volcano for the first time, prompting the Dopefiend to hit the Volcano with some fresh Arjan's Haze, before answering a commmon question posed by Tosha about the best way to begin your psychedelic adventures and whether Salvia Divinorum or Magic Mushrooms are the best introduction, then talks about the strange view of cannabis and cannabis users held by some of the uninitiated. Raising a bag of vape in salute, the Dopefiend goes on to send out a special message to our very own Man With the Velvet Voicebox, Lefty, who's shortly to return with his special brand of music, comedy and chat on the Dopefiend.co.uk Podcast Network, then Floydhead emails with some gripes about his experience with the I-Inhale, with which he's been unable to have much success, and an appeal for some music of the Dopefiend's own choosing, to which the Dopefiend responds with some fresh Sour Diesel vapour and an extra special musical interlude from Sufjan Stevens. Back with a bagful of AK47 vapour, the Dopefiend responds to an email from Scott and talks about the "Gateway Theory": the misguided belief that use of Cannabis is the first step down a slippery slope of hard drug abuse, whether there's any truth to it, and how best to overcome it, then Hemphugger sends in a very fitting story celebrating the season of goodwill, prompting a celebratory I-Inhale packed with strong flavoursome Brainstorm. Ronan sends Christmas Greetings, then Jabba the Blunt raises the likelihood of legalization at some point in the future, and the ignorance that holds it back, including the bad press that Salvia Divinorum has recently inspired, ; leading to some talk about why Cannabis and other natural entheogens are reviled while other modes of consciousness expansion aren't. Finally, the Dopefiend loads up the Volcano with a cocktail of moroccan hash and Aunt Bessie while discussing Barack Obama's recent response to a flood of pro-legalization activists asking for clarification on his position on Cannabis, and whether it's a sign that there's not much change in the works for us stoners. Don't miss Monday's special extra helping of Queerninja, then two incredible coollections of DopeTribe Dispatches on the following two Mondays, before the Dopefiend returns to the Dopecast on January 19th. Email mail@dopefiend.co.uk now to get your comments, questions and suggestions on the first Dopecast of the New Year, send us a voicemail and drop by our Skype Virtual VaporLounge, and check out the forum.

Description: On this special Third Anniversary Episode of the Dopecast, the Dopefiend takes a trip down memory lane, looking at what made 2008 the Dopecast's biggest year ever and the many gatherings of the DopeTribe that have made it so special, makes a very special announcement concerning our ever-increasing listenership, then hits the emails, beginning with one from Fr00tbat about how the power of his brand new I-Inhale portable Vaporizer knocked him sideways and forced an early retreat from work, and how he covered for his odd behaviour, then we hear some further information on auto-flowering strains before the subject of Dopestock 2009 is raised by Im4Cannabis and Captain Tok, prompting the Dopefiend to fire up his I-Inhale and officially open the preparations for our annual celebration of all things Cannabis while tasting some fresh UK-grown herb before a super-chilled homegrown musical interlude provided by Hey Negrita. The Dopefiend returns with some information concerning an impending price increase on the I-Inhale and why it's happening, then BrixTroll emails with an extraordinary story about how his stoned state almost left him plastered all over the snow-covered streets of Norway, then roarcorp drops in a voicemail praising both the Dopefiend Network and the Easy Star All-Stars, then Shoki describes a recent weed-induced panic attack in vivid detail, leading the Dopefiend to explain how he deals with feelings of anxiety on various substances, then Bronze Apprentice raises the subject of how a closer relationship with Cannabis has turned him into a hippie! In the Cannabis News, former drug warrior Barry Cooper's new TV show in which he spies on unscrupulous cops conducting raids on a mocked-up Cannabis factory, Michigan passes legal medical marijuana, but patients are still in limbo until the details are finalized, the Cannabis Tribunal in The Hague decides that legalization is the only sensible option, and Amsterdam's mayor Job Cohen pushes for a legal supply of Cannabis for Holland's coffeeshops. 10. Dopecast154
http://dopecast.libsyn.com/ind... download (audio/mpeg, 53.79Mb)

Description: On this week's episode of the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast, an under-the-weather Dopefiend talks about the US Supreme Court's decision to uphold last year's ruling that the local police in California and other medical marijuana states are not obliged to help fight the DEA's war on Cannabis, and why it's one step close to a congruent and pragmatic federal approach to medical marijuana, especially with some law enforcement officers advocating full legalization as a remedy for the global financial crisis. Hitting the emails, the Dopefiend reads a message from show sponsor G13 about his embracement of the Vaporizer Revolution, stealthgrow sets us straight about the safety and speed of hash oil extraction using butane, John emails about the truth behind the War on Drugs and tells an extraordinary story about his own suffering at the hands of the outdated drug laws, then Truthmissile alerts us to the work of Professor Juan Cole who exposes how how fixed sentences for cannabis posession have directly contributed to America's financial problems, C-Dub informs us about his endeavours to educate the masses about cannabis, and Brad tells of his dealers who tried to supplement their income by robbing a bank, and long time listener to the Dopecast Gouranga Jimmy drops by to tell us about his podcast before the Dopefiend fires up his I-Inhale and reclines on the Big Green Couch for a bit of herbal respite and a chat about the cold-curing properties of cannabis and how the I-Inhale is going to change the traditional Christmas Day reefer break for a lot of stoners, leading to the story of how its potent vapour led to more than he bargained for at the UK Hemp Expo. Following a musical interlude by the Sloppy Jacksons, the Dopefiend further extends the deadline for DopeTribe Dispatches in an effort to get more of your 10-minute audio nuggets in time for Christmas, then reads an email from the Spanish American about his enjoyment of home growing over in Spain and how the relaxed attitude to cannabis over there contrasts with the laws of the USA, taking us through the success of his recent harvests and talking about his success with auto-flowering strains. Then the Dopefiend celebrates catching up with the email backlog by calling for new emails from all the DopeTribe listeners, and polishes off the pile with a message from Seattle Stoner. In the Cannabis News this week, the Dutch ban on magic mushrooms passes, but it won't stop hardcore psychonauts from exploring altered states, Switzerland decides against decriminalizing cannabis despite the pleas of youth advocacy groups, and the oldest evidence of human use of cannabis is found in China. The email pile is gone, so get your comments, questions and suggestions on next week's show! 12. Dopecast153
http://dopecast.libsyn.com/ind... download (audio/mpeg, 62.94Mb)

Description: On this week's episode of the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast, the Dopefiend talks about the British Government's decision to ignore the advice of its most esteemed scientists and experts and push through their headline-grabbing reclassification of Cannabis as a Class B drug, paying special attention to the response of one of the leading opposing voices, that of Liberal Democrat MP Dr Evan Harris who gathered together an impressive roster of signatories to a letter in a failed last-ditch attempt to halt the U-turn, and one of the loudest, if least informed voices supporting it, that of Dopecast favourite Debra Bell of Talking About Cannabis. Hitting the emails, the Dopefiend answers a common question about how best to embark upon psychedelic adventuring for the first time, and talks about the dangers of low blood sugar coupled with cannabis use, the far greater dangers of driving under its influence, then answers some questions relating to the incredible I-Inhale portable vaporizer before going for a stroll with his very own I-Inhale in order to test out its suitability for vaporizing hash, meanwhile reminding listeners of the opportunity to submit their own audio for our Christmas specials. After a musical interlude created by Wegface, the Dopefiend returns to talk further about whether the fears about using silicone tubing with direct-draw vaporizers is justified, then there's some talk about the anti-bacterial properties of Cannabis, Chuck Reno drops a voicemail about smoking blunts, there's more about the value of the sticky residue left on some vaporizers, then, in the Cannabis News, further evidence that Canada's liberal attitudes towards cannabis are under threat as the Kindred Cafe is the latest to be hit in a series of raids, why cannabis is good for your brain, and how it's been found to block certain types of pain, the British MP determined to toughen up laws surrounding paraphernalia and seed sale here in the UK, why 43 Amsterdam coffeeshops are to close, the 79-year-old tomato grower harrassed and intimidated by over-zealous police who thought she was operating a cannabis factory, and the results are in from this year's Cannabis Cup! Email mail@dopefiend.co.uk, send us a voicemail and drop by our Skype Virtual VaporLounge, and check out the forum.

15. Dopecast152: LIVE from the UK Hemp Expo 2008!
http://dopecast.libsyn.com/ind... download (audio/mpeg, 56.01Mb)

Description: On this week's extra special episode of the Dopecast live from last weekend's UK Hemp Expo in London, the Dopefiend enjoys a rare opportunity to experience total Cannabis freedom in the center of London and samples the delights of the UK Hemp Expo, joined by such DopeTribe regulars as Jay K, Floydhead, Max Freakout, to talk about a wide range of subjects including the Hemp Expo itself, the revolutionary I-Inhale and how it's changing the Cannabis Community, how a major psychedelic experience can hamper one's ability to enjoy the pleasure of Cannabis, the benefits and limitations of auto-flowering strains such as Lowryder, whether or not Cannabis could provide a much needed boost to the global economy if legalized, and whether governments would ever recognize that possibility, the increasing clampdown on the Cannabis scene in Amsterdam and whether it'll ever conquer the public desire for legal ganja, and the coming ban on magic mushrooms in Amsterdam and how headshops will respond to it. Next, the Dopefiend heads over the the I-Inhale stand for a chat with Peter, the man behind it's creation and development about how it came to be and its success since its release, then forum member and grower slowme rocks up with his brand new i-inhale and some of his own home grown jack herer to talk about what led him to become a grower, then London based stoner esse b drops in for a chat about his weekend at the Expo. Following a musical interlude, Herodian and Hash Whisperer swing by the DopeTribe corner for a taste of some G-Bomb vapour and a chat about the way different temperatures of vaporization can affect the type of high you get from your favourite strain. Next the Dopefiend heads over to the Seedsman stand for a chat with Dopecast regular Tom from Seedsman for a chat about the seed industry in the UK in general and whether there are moves afoot to restrict seed sale, whether the increasing legitimization of the medical marijuana scene in the United States at the state level is having an impact on the seed business. Next, the Dopefiend chats to this week's sponsor JonnyB, Hash Whisperer, and Dopecast regular Floydhead about their experience of the UK Hemp Expo and the likelihood of a seed sale ban arriving on British shores, as well as the approaching Dutch ban on mushrooms, then he has a chat with cartoonist and former Disney animator Jason Wilson, the creator of the comic serial Smuggling Vacation before closing the day's festivities by chatting to Dopefiend Network Podcasters Max Freakout and Pothead, who's laden with shopping bags full of goodies, and forum regular MycoPhile about their enjoyment of the UK Hemp Expo, before heading home after a long and very stoned weekend! http://dopecast.libsyn.com/ind... download (audio/mpeg, 47.57Mb)

Description: On this week's episode of the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast, the Dopefiend re-visits the subject of Cannabis Psychosis: is it a manufactured myth propagated by the world's anti-drug governments, or is there a real threat to a percentage of the stoner population? The Dopefiend takes a detailed look at the first in-depth study into how episodes of so-called "Cannabis-Induced Psychosis" affect one's likelihood of developing schizophrenia in later life. Before hitting the emails, the Dopefiend reads a message from show sponsor Punkdudeus who's overjoyed with his purchase of a brand new Volcano Vaporizer, then there's discussion about the best way to make hash, the joys of California's medical marijuana laws, the legal situation regarding Cannabis in Ireland, and some assorted chat regarding the I-Inhale, including the safety of silicone tubing when used with vaporizers, and an independent review from satisfied customer Kennibis. Then the Dopefiend, prompted by such listener feedback, fires up his own I-Inhale and goes walkabout for a chat about the success of the I-Inhale and this weekend's UK Hemp Expo, before pausing for another homegrown musical interlude. Red-eyed and rested, the Dopefiend returns to the emails, starting with one from Irish listener DD who looks back over the past hundred and fifty Dopecast epsiodes, before HempHugger send greetings from British Columbia and some questions concerning the viability of auto-flowering strains like Lowryder and whether the psychedelic highs of pure sativas have been consigned to history. Podders emails form Spain with feedback on last week's talk about Cannabis-infused liquor and a recommendation for EricTheRuler's youtube cannabis cookery guides, then Rodders chips in with a question regarding whether the habit of rolling joints with tobacco in Europe is making the fight for truth about Cannabis all the harder. This leads nicely into the Cannabis News, starting with the results of the recent study into European drug habits by the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction, which suggests that many youngsters are turning down spliffs because of the dangers of tobacco smoking, then two contrasting stories about whether Amsterdam's Coffeeshops will weather the storm of government opposition to Holland's lenient approach to Cannabis, and whether the global financial crisis is actually a good thing for the marijuana market, and also news on how the dutch ban on magic mushrooms is inching ever closer, with a date now set at December 1st, and finally the Bolivian president and his bold stance against the DEA and the War on Drugs. Description: On the Hundred-and-Fiftieth episode of the Dopecast, the Web's Favourite Cannabis Commentator, the Dopefiend, reminds US listeners not to allow the new President elect to rest on his laurels, talks about why the past week's US Election was good for American Cannabis users, with the news that nine out of ten marijuana-related ballot initiatives were passed, then reads a couple of stories about weed-laced booze and Cannabis cookery from show sponsor Filepae. Hitting the emails, there's some debate on the state of Florida's weed, and a recommendation for a Minneapolis glass pipe store, then psychedelic podfather Lorenzo sends some love, after which the Dopefiend again goes walkabout with some Jack Herer in his I-Inhale Portable Vaporizer, taking the opportunity to remind listeners about their opportunity to showcase their creative talents by producing a DopeTribe Dispatch for our Christmas shows, then chats about how he spent election night and his thoughts on Obama's success, before pausing for a musical interlude from listener Calimera and his band Gettysburg. Back from his wanderings, the Dopefiend, nicely lifted by the Jack Herer vapour, reads an email from Danger Brother who finds good old fashioned Cannabis helps his anxiety more than side-effect ridden pharmaceuticals, and muses on whether a more socialized US healthcare system under President Obama may result in a more pragmatic approach to medical marijuana, then Seattle Stoner sings the praises of the Volcano Vaporizer and asks whether the dust that gathers inside the Volcano base is a cause for concern, then, after a voicemail from see.i.lazy about his first experiences with a vaporizer, albeit a very cheap one, Anonymous American emails about our recent problems accepting donations, and tells about the dark, sticky Hash Plant he's been smoking. Back by popular demand, the great Druidude gives his take on the continued failure of Britain's drug policy and why it is that the debate over legalization is creeping ever closer to the seat of power, the way those called for jury service in the UK can articulate their opposition to the drug laws, and finally, gives his commentary on the successful vote for decriminalization of Cannabis in Massachussets. In the rest of this week's Cannabis News, the mainstream press follows the Dopecast's recent coverage of the Japanese Cannabis situation, a warning of Cannabis adulterated with crack cocaine in North London, the most recent raid on the Cannabis Cafà in Lancing in the south of England yields a ban from the premises for four of its staff, the British tabloid press tries to start a frenzy over legal seed sales in the UK and fails, and former singer and British TV institution Cilla Black's revelation that  ganja cured her jet-lag at age 61! Don't forget to join us at the UK Hemp Expo on Sunday 16th November!  Email mail@dopefiend.co.uk, send us a voicemail and drop by our Skype Virtual VaporLounge, and check out the forum.
