They will be offering bingo this year, and of course there are lots of things for the kids to do best decorated diaper contest, and little tykes pedal pull and a lego contest. Then there is mud volleyball and demo derbies. Cheap Trick will be there on the 29th to keep the teenagers happy. Get great ticket prices online. |

They have a attendance of a 100,000 and lots of free parking. There is a dog house building for dog shows and and exhibit halls. There is a Singing Contest with local talent, with different age groups in which cash can be won. Thee are five competitive exhibit buildings and a lot of local bands. If you are hungry this is the place to come for all kinds of new foods, like shrimp Chips. This fair is know for its motor sports and tractor events. |

Throughout my years of doing interviews I believe they have become more important. The Alameda County Fair, for as big as it is, and as many traditions as it has - has also a lot of contests! We have traditional ones and some that are a little weird. Some of them, are a hat contest, hot dog eating contest, green treasure hunt, teenage battle of the bands, Amateur Rib Cook Off, a $10,000 putting contest reminiscent of miniature golf, the third annual gumbo contest, and lots and lots of others.
