Ok so the last prodigal daughter of gaming has returned. That's right people...I gots my internet back.  I'd like to thank all the little people...I said I'd LIKE to thank them, but not a damn one of them did a thing to get my internet back for me! F(*&^!! all you bishes!!

(That's just my way of saying I missed you all..including my crazy co-hosts..get ready for the Ka-Boom Monday when we're reunited on aire).

It's a sad day, when you log into the game you enjoyed so much over the past few months, and realize, you're bored.  B.O.R.E.D.  I log in, I rez, I look around, I check my friend's list, and I “/camp”.   Occasionally, I'm greeted with a tell of “I can't believe you're still playing”.  No kidding.  I can't believe I'm still playing either.

At this point, there is only one thing keeping me in this game:  my friends.  I have met quite a few amazingly entertaining friends in my guild, and outside of the guild and, randomly, we'll bump into each other in the city notorious for PvP, Kheshetta.  Recently, I logged in, wondering what I could do to entertain myself in this game, and ran past a level 78 Tempest of Set,  standing alone in the city.  As I headed down the stairs, I received a tell from the ToS, and she asked me “Are you okay?”.  I replied with “Yes.  Why?”.  The real reason she was messaging me was now clear.  She replies with, “Normally, I would be dead right now, but you ran past me.”

And there it was.  I've lost my will to play.  Mindlessly killing everything that crosses my path doesn't even seem like a sport anymore, it's a chore.  I don't want to PvP.  I don't want to siege.  I don't want to PvE.  It is the end of endgame.  With falsely promised patches, and glitched boss fights in the level 80 zones, enemies seems to be converging, not to kill, but to sit around in a sewing circle and bitch about how terrible the game is, and how guilds have fallen apart because of lack of people logging in.  The few remaining faithful ones that have not canceled their accounts, roam the lands in search of something to do to kill the time. 

We've resorted to dueling each other naked and sitting around in the city, just watching lowbies run by, trying to hurry to level 80.  I feel sorry for them.  I was once one of them.  So eager to max my level so I could run through the streets like a madwoman killing every terrible person in sight.  Spawn camping, griefing, and trying to make kids uninstall their games our of pure frustration of their inabilities to kill such an amazing player as myself.  Those were the days when we were blinded by the potential of the game.  We sit with still a glimmer of hope, knowing that there is still a chance the game could make a turn around.  A patch, a change to gems.  Something.  Anything.  Until then, you'll find me and my friends sitting on the steps of Kheshetta, chatting like a bunch of 'nancys', laughing at the overachievers running by.

Well the time is upon me to head to PAX.  I really do hate attending events. But I love it at the same time. I should say I hate attending events as press. It's much, walk-interivew, walk-interview, stop to BE interviewed, walk..oh and did I mention interview?

It's been really interesting because I have a crop of new friends who aren't so into gaming and really don't understand what all the fuss is about. So they think I'm avoiding them or angry with them or something, not understanding that to work as Press at any MAJOR event you have to do MAJOR Planning.  You can't just show up and be like ok..here I am...who do I talk to?

There are people you HAVE to talk to, and have to keep your sites updated and just..tons of things.  In the past Gameinatrix, nor GGR has done a good job of this, but things have changed quite a bit (with the exception of our sites, which we have some developers working on and this very minute if they know what's good for them.)  so with those changes means a new level of organization and more coverage than we've been able to do before.

This also means less sleep for us, and also translated into me having to buy more clothes and shoes...AND games. That's the only good parts. I LOVE clothes, shoes and games.  This also means flying. I HATE flying.  But this is just me griping. I'll suck it up and I'll walk-interview, with a smile and pretend I can hear what the hell anyone is saying since my ears will be popped from the flight.  Such fun..but let's be positive here..did I mention new clothes and shoes and games? Yeah...I like that....
