From September 19th, 1945 Frank Sinatra promotes racial and religious tolerance with a radio version of his Academy Award winning film short The House I Live In.

You may remember seeing the video version on this show back in April of 2008.

This brings you Thanksgiving greetings and best wishes with a short clip from Frank Sinatra's CBS Radio show for Thanksgiving 1946.

Though the recording quality is poor since it was never intended to survive past the initial broadcast, I believe that the sentiment involved makes it worth a listen.

Originally Broadcast on the CBS Radio Network on November 14th of 1945, this time we're listening to "Songs By Sinatra" - Frank Sinatra's Radio Show, with special guests The Andrews Sisters. The orchestra was conducted by Axel Stordahl, and the Pied Pipers were also on hand. Though the quality of the recording leaves something to be desired (not having been intended to survive past the initial broadcast), these old shows give us insight into the music and culture of one of the most amazing periods of American history. I'm including the original commercials for Old Gold cigarettes.
