1. Fast Electronics Shopping http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: Well, this is not in time for holiday shopping, but there is a cool site that compares various electronics (phones, laptops, tvs, cameras, etc) for you. All you have to do is click on the features that matter most to you (and IGNORE the things you don't care about) and the site shows you the best options available. What is cool about this is that it gives you a list of pros and cons for each item in the list. Check out Sortable.com. |

2. Tim Ferris: The 4 Hour Workweek Guy http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: Tim Ferris is a pretty neat character. He experiments with many aspects of his life and shares the results - sometimes on his blog, sometimes in a book, sometimes on a video. He is a businessman, a breakdancer, a champion kickboxer, a Guinness World record holder in the tango, and many other off the wall things. Tim has designed his life so that he can pursue whatever activities he is interested in pursuing (ie. he took 6 months off to learn tango from a champion dancer). Wouldn't any of us like to be able to take 6 months off to pursue a hobby? His blog is full of interesting and offbeat ideas about many topics. Take some time and check out his blog here. You won't regret it. |

3. Buying And Selling Websites http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: Ever thought about buying or selling a website? Do you like shopping for deals? Check out Flippa. This site is a marketplace for websites. You can sometimes find good deals (like a site that pays for itself in 3 months), but you must be willing to dig a little bit. And for those of you that have a site that you are neglecting, how about selling it and getting a little cash for yourself? Take a few minutes and browse Flippa. |

4. Free Movie Rentals http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: Redbox seems to be everywhere these days. Renting new release movies for $1 per night is a pretty good deal. However, it just got even better. Redbox has discount codes that allow you to get discounted (even free!) rentals if you have the right codes. InsideRedbox solved the problem by having a central location where you can get the latest Redbox discount codes. All you need to do is sign up and they will email you information every week. That is pretty cool if you rent movies from time to time. |

5. How Secure Is Your Password? http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: Check here to find out! It will tell you if your password is one of the 500 most common and give you an estimate of how long it would take a computer to crack it. In my case, I had some that would take mere minutes to break. So, if you'll excuse me, I have some passwords that need changing . . . |

6. Fast Free Website SEO Grader http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: I came across a useful free tool that evaluates a website and gives a grade based on SEO optimization, social buzz, Google indexing and more. 7. Great Deals In Your City: How About A $29 Hour Long Massage http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: Sometimes you just find a cool site and want to share it with the people closest to you. I found a site that I want to share with everyone because it works better that way. Groupon gets local deals for goods and services in your city for at least 50% off. In my town, recent deals have included an hour long massage at a salon for $29 (regularly $70-$125), 55% off everything at a trendy clothing store, a $300 car exterior dent repair and detailing package for $69, and much more. Every weekday a new deal is offered. If enough people take it, everyone gets the deal. So the more people that sign up, the better the deals are for all of us. All you do is provide an email address and they will send you the daily deal for your city. No spam or other unwanted stuff . . . just the daily deal. Go sign up at Groupon. |

9. Facebook Privacy Concerns? http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: Facebook has had a lot of negative publicity lately with users having a lot of concerns over privacy issues. Many have quit Facebook or stopped using it altogether. However, there may be another way. Reclaim Privacy has developed an open source application to test your personal privacy settings on Facebook. 11. Technology Deals http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: Everybody likes a bargain. And, there is certainly no shortage of sites out there with the latest deals. Here is another that you may want to consider TechDealDigger. Their site was laid out well with an intuitive category navigation menu on the side. But what really caught my eye was the deal "hotness" rating. When I first visited the site, I saw a $2400 tv listed for $1000. To me, that's a pretty hot deal! Check it out here. |

12. Social Bookmarking Made Easy http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: SocialAdr is a social bookmarking site. 13. Monitor And Control Your Child's Online Activities For Free http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: A recent study by Symantec showed some disturbing results looking at the top search terms by children in 2009. "YouTube", "Facebook", and "Google" topped the list across all categories. But "porn" and "sex" made the top ten for Teens (13-18), "sex" for Tweens (8-12), and "porn" made the top 10 for children age 7 and under. Norton has a powerful, free solution that allows you to monitor and control your children's online activities. Features include: monitoring and/or controlling what sites they can access and setting age appropriate rules for content, time of day, and total time allowed online. There are a lot more cool features. Check it out at OnlineFamily.Norton.com |

14. A Very Cool Desktop Timer To Help You Get More Done http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: A number of time management programs teach the benefits of using countdown timers to boost personal productivity. They all follow the same basic formula: 1) Prioritize your tasks. 2) Allot a specific amount of time to each task. 3) Set your timer and start the first task. No interruptions are allowed during this time. 4) When the timer rings, STOP! 5) Move on to the next item, set the timer, and repeat. Focus Booster has developed a free timer application on the Adobe Air platform. It can sit as the top window or work quietly in the background. No sign-ups necessary and nothing to buy. Just download and enjoy. |

15. Free Stuff That Is Actually Worth Something http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: Quick post . . . Check out freemania. They have a running list of things that are free or nearly free that you may want. Some of the items are product samples. Some are reminders for events (ie. free Arby's sandwich - no purchase necessary). Some are valuable coupons. Yesterday they had a discount code for use with Restaurant.com. (See our previous post: Eat For 60% Off At Your Favorite Restaurant) The discount code was for 90% off. So a $100 gift certificate would normally be priced at $40, but with the additional discount it comes to $4! Where else can you pick up a $100 item for only $4? Go take a look today! You may be surprised at what you find. |

16. Get Your Own Custom Radio Station http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: How would you like a radio station that only plays your favorite music? Wouldn't it be even better if you were introduced to music that is similar to your favorite songs and artists? Well, you can have this today. The Music Genome Project has developed Pandora - a customized radio station. You select an artist or song that you like and Pandora will build a playlist for you with songs from the artist and those whose music is similar. You can tell Pandora whether or not you like a suggested song and it will adjust the song recommendations based on your feedback. The cool thing is that you can have up to 100 stations of your own. So if you are in the mood to rock, you can do that. If you want to listen to your favorite classical music, you can do that too. Best of all, Pandora is free. |

Simply type in your zip code and you will get a large list of local restaurants where you can get a $25 gift certificate for only $10 (and sometimes less). 25. When Will The Site Be Back Up? http://coolwebstufftosee.blogs... download (, 0.00Mb) Description: We thought that DownForEveryoneOrJustMe.com was a cool site until we ran into today's recommendation. This tool notifies you via email, text message, or twitter when a site that is down comes back up. This would be particularly useful for monitoring product launches, since they have the annoying habit of going down at launch time. Give DingItsUp a try! |
