Description: Aloe vera has been known as a burn treatment for thousands of years. Aloe was considered so effective for burns that it was once called the burn plant by the ancient Chinese and Egyptians. During the first century AD C., the Greek doctor Dioscorides advocated using the soothing aloe gel in burns. Today, modern research has shown that Aloe vera for sunburns not only relieves, but helps the healing of the skin and can even help prevent the peeling normally associated with sun damage. What is a Sunburn? Sunburn before and after sunburn occurs when your skin receives too much direct exposure to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays. UV rays cause damage to the skin. The epidermal layer, that is, the outer layer of the skin, becomes red, hot, extremely sensitive, painful and sensitive to touch. Expect a period of discomfort the first few days followed by peeling, itching and peeling of the skin, usually within 7 days. Although most cases of sunburn are usually mild and of short duration, it is important to avoid them. In the long term, repeated cases of sunburn can increase the risk of developing skin problems later in life, such as advanced wrinkles, liver spots or skin cancers. Symptoms of sunburn The symptoms of sunburn depend on the severity. A very mild sunburn can be barely noticeable, while a severe sunburn can be a serious problem that requires medical attention. Gravity of sunburn TEMPERED Color pink / red to the skin Chop Mild sensitivity to touch and temperature MODERATE Prominent red color Feeling of heat emanating from the surface of the skin Painful skin to the touch Sensitive to temperature Peeling / mild peeling of the skin accompanied by itching after a few days SERIOUS Dark red skin color Boils or blisters that form on the skin Skin very painful to the touch (almost like a bruise) Intense itching Swelling Fatigue Nausea Large sections of skin peeling after a few days How Aloe works to help sunburn There are several reasons why Aloe Vera works to relieve the pain of sunburn: Anti-inflammatory: the leaves of this succulent plant have anti-inflammatory properties that can provide a direct soothing relief. Hydration: Aloe Vera is 99% water, which works to moisturize the skin burned and exhausted by moisture. Hydration is also the way in which Aloe Vera helps itch and rashes. Growth and repair of the skin: aloe vera also contains glycoprotein and polysaccharides, two key ingredients that offer soothing benefits for the skin. The glycoprotein helps minimize inflammation and pain, while the polysaccharides help in the growth and repair of the skin. Using Aloe Vera in sunburns What kind of use to use? While aloe vera can be ingested in different ways, the topical application of a pure aloe vera gel is the most effective way to treat sunburn. The application of the soothing gel directly on the affected area allows the solution to start doing its work immediately and help you feel relief. You can buy many types of over-the-counter aloe solutions in the form of lotions, creams or ointments, but the most effective treatment will be a pure Aloe Vera gel without chemicals or filler ingredients as possible. Useful tip: Keep your Aloe gel in the refrigerator or freezer for additional cooling when applied to painful burns! How to apply? Aloe gel application Apply the gel liberally and frequently to help soothe skin burned by the sun. Be careful not to use creams or lotions based on aloe thatoil, benzocaine or the additive ingredients of lidocaine. They are more than simple fillings; GasolinaEum traps the heat in your skin and benzocaine and lidocaine can irritate your skin! As long as the product you use is completely natural, you can make the application as many times as necessary without risk. Get Forever Living products for better health. If you do not mind doing the extra work, you can harvest aloe directly from your own plant. Cut the leaves horizontally as you would cut a loaf of bread to access the gel from the inner leaf. This gel is sterile and can be applied immediately to sunburn. Important: you should always seek a medical opinion from your doctor or dermatologist in cases of severe burns. Although the use of Aloe Vera in babies is generally safe, keep in mind that a sunburn of any severity is a serious medical problem for a baby.
